Maximum individual award: US $1,000
The objective of these grants is to stimulate research in plant taxonom y world-wide, with emphasis on
supporting students and investigators in developing countries. The competit ion is open, however. to
applicants from all countries. Persons applying should be advanced students enrolled in graduate programs
or young Ph.D. investigators. It is hoped that investment in young professionals or those in the process of
becoming such will pay needed dividends for the future, especially in countries with limited resources but
often with megadiversity floras.
