               CAPB-Sponsored Genome Editing Workshop

               Genome editing tools have greatly accelerated the creation of new plant varieties. The
               implications with regards to economic profitability, governmental regulations and public
               acceptance of these technologies in Canada and in other countries will be discussed in this
               workshop. We have invited four panelists from government, academia and industry to describe
               the current status of this technology in Canada and in the rest of the world.
