The editorial board of Applications in Plant Sciences (APPS), the Bota nical Society of America's open
access, online journal, invites submissions of the following article types:
• Protocol Notes, describing new methods and technological advancements for the visualization
or quantification of biological information
• Genomic Resources Notes, characterizing the development and demonstrating the usefulness
of newly developed genomic resources, including transcriptomes
• Software Notes, detailing new software applications with exa mples of how they are used and
how results are interpreted
• Application Articles, illustrating the application of a new protocol, method, or software
applicat ion within the context of a larger study
• Review Articles, evaluating available techniques, methods, o r protocols within any area of the
plant sciences
• Primer Notes, reporting novel genetic markers within a taxon or taxa with evidence of wide
applicability
Launched in January 2013, APPS is ind exed in Pu bMed and Web of Science, and received its first
impact factor (0.667) in June 2015. See the latest Issue at: http://w ww.bioone.org/loi/apps.
