We invite all 2015 participants to attend both the Lecture and the Cocktail Reception/Fundraiser
that immediately follows. The later is a ticketed event ($25). The ti cket covers a hors d'oeuvres
and a drink as well as the opportunity to interact with speaker, Dr. )u erg Schoenenberger and
colleagues. The evening will culminate in a raffle and short auction of items generously donated
by BSA members, publishers, the BSA and other professional organizations. Proceeds and a
portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Kaplan Lecture Fund to promote continuation of
the lecture series.

Catherine La Farge has kindly agreed to host our society dinner at the 2015 BSA Edmonton
meeting in July. We will hold the dinner at a superb Tu rkish restaurant: Sofra Turkish Restaurant
10345 106 Str. NW in downtown Edmonton located 1.6 km from the Shaw Conference Centre
on Tuesday (July 28th). The dinner event will begin at 5:30 pm with a happy hour (no-host). The
meal will be a set menu that provides a broad selection of flavours from the Turkish palette -
including samples o f grape leaves, in-house humus, kebabs (chicken & lamb), meatballs (beef),
rack of lamb, grilled vegetables. and couscous. The cost will be $40.00 (Canadian)/person. Pay
at the door. ABLS will cover the cost of the appetizers and the tip. Yo u will pay at the door - but
please let us know you are coming!
