PLANT CANADA 2024

                                    Canadian Association for Plant Biotechnology

The Canadian Association for Plant Biotechnology (CAPB) was founded in 1970-1971 as the
International Association for Plant Biotechnology Canada (IAPB Canada). The association has
undergone several name changes, in 1998 and 2006, before adopting its current name in 2015.
Our goals are to promote interaction among Plant Biotechnology researchers in Canada, liaise
with the International Association of Plant Biotechnology, advocate for Plant Biotechnology
research, bridge the gap between academia/basic research and industry, and serve as a contact
point for Plant Biotechnology-related information in Canada. CAPB provides a forum for
communication among its members to further the development of Plant Biotechnology in Canada.
It also offers excellent opportunities for new collaborations among industry leaders and
researchers, helping to connect people involved in plant biotechnology research. The association
holds biennial meetings in Canada. More information about the association can be found at
               www.canadianplantbiotech.ca.
