“Plant
Canada has members with varied backgrounds (i.e., race, colour,
religion and sexual orientation) and wishes to be respectful of all
individuals.
Plant Canada recognizes, reflects and promotes equality and
diversity within the organization. In promoting 'equality and
diversity', the Plant Canada will seek to address all attitudinal,
systemic, and structural barriers.
In addition, this Policy adheres to the Canadian Human Rights Act.
Under the Canadian Human Rights Act, it is against the law to
discriminate on the basis of race, sex, colour, age, national or
ethnic origin, religion, marital status, family status, disability,
sexual orientation and a pardoned criminal conviction
The goal of Plant Canada is substantive equality, not
representational equality.
